Formal Recruitment

At Georgia Tech, Potential New Members (PNMs) will have the opportunity to visit eight of the Collegiate Panhellenic Council (CPC) chapters during Formal Recruitment in order to gain exposure to our campus's range of sororities and Greek women. CPC also has two amazing associate chapters which do not participate in Formal Recruitment. During Formal Recruitment, each PNM and the chapters they visits each day will narrow down their choices through a mutual selection process. In the end, the PNM will have the opportunity to find the sorority, sisterhood, and community that best fits their values!

Letter from the VPR

Dear Potential New Members,

From all of us here at Alpha Chi Omega, welcome to Georgia Tech and our Panhellenic Community! You are about to begin an incredible experience, one that will push you to grow and learn in ways you never knew you could before — and along the way, our sisterhood will help you to grow into the kind of person you didn’t even know you could be. that I cannot imagine having done without the love and support of Alpha Chi Omega by my side.

There is so much excitement that comes with the beginning of college, and though formal recruitment is exciting, it can also be a bit intimidating— I still remember that shake-in-your-platforms nerves and exhilaration so clearly— but I promise that once you step through Alpha Chi’s teal doors, you can relax and feel right at home. Don’t worry, we don’t like small talk about the weather either. Be ready to exchange laugh-til-you-cry stories from the summer, your most outlandish movie/book/show opinions, and stories about what sparks your passion for progress and service. We believe there is grace found in authenticity, and look forward to you sharing yourselves with us! It is our diversity that truly sings the melody of our bond. In our sisterhood we find stability as well as adventure, originality as well as unity, and one of the reasons we love recruitment is getting to meet hundreds of stunning young women who not only have done wonderful things, but are genuinely wonderful people. It is a heartening reminder of the strength of the female community at Georgia Tech. We cannot wait to welcome you into our home, get to know you, and share with you a glimpse into our unmatched sisterhood!

We embrace our motto, “Together Let Us Seek the Heights,” in a myriad of ways. Alpha Chi Omega has a legacy of everyday humanitarians, Miss Georgia Techs, Ramblin’ Reck Drivers, a Secretary of State, Peace Corps members, Miss USAs, CEOs, D1 athletes, philanthropists, (future) astronauts, a legacy built by and for Real. Strong. Women. who defy labels. Who never settles to be just another pretty face! On Bid Day, we will welcome a new class who will join us and continue the Alpha Chi Omega legacy, and one of those people might be you!

I invite you to explore our website to see and read about all of the people who I have the privilege of calling my sisters. If you have any questions about recruitment or our sisterhood, please don’t hesitate to reach out and ask me!

We are counting down the days until we get to meet you!

Until then, Loyally,

Cassie Rich

Why Alpha Chi

There are eight CPC sororities, and even more outside of CPC, at Georgia Tech alone. Collegiate women have so many choices as to the organizations and communities that they join and the experiences they pursue.

So: Why Alpha Chi?

Why did our sisters choose our chapter over others? What have they gained from being sisters here, and how has it shaped not only their college experience, but who they have become as individuals?

Why Alpha Chi?

'“Alpha Chi has been one of the most exhilarating, fun-loving, and character-building organizations I have been a part of. I came into college during peak Covid times where it was super overwhelming to make friends, yet I knew shortly after I joined AXO I found not only my home for the next four years but had made lifelong friends. Whether it be laughing with sisters from various member classes on the living room couch or binge watching shows in the media room with some of my best friends, I cannot wait to warmly reminisce on these times long after I graduate Georgia Tech. This group of women has challenged me, taught me to be kind to myself even in times of high stress, and allowed me to truly blossom into the best version of myself, and for that I will forever be grateful to the lovely ladies at AXO.”

“I’m Alpha Chi because there are always friendly faces at the house to greet me. Whether it's on the front porch, in the living room, or downstairs where someone will welcome me to sit and have dinner at their table. Our members care about each other greatly and want to see each of us become stronger, broad-minded members of society. I chose Alpha Chi because I can see how every member wants it to be a safe haven for people who might feel isolated on campus. We, especially members of the executive board, are consistently working to make their members and minority groups on campus feel heard. My favorite part of Alpha Chi so far has definitely been the big/little process. I loved meeting and getting to know different potential Bigs, and letting our VP New Member Education set me up with my match. I absolutely love my family and am excited to add someone new!”
