why alpha chi?
Joining Alpha Chi Omega can make Tech seem a little smaller, a little brighter, and way more fun. Our social calendar keeps us busy with events such as Formal, Semi-Formal, Lyre Ball, Senior Party, mixers, and date nights. We take pride in our philanthropy, Domestic Violence Awareness, and throw events such as a flag football tournament and a benefit dinner to help benefit survivors of domestic violence. From academics to intramurals, we constantly support one another in our various involvements both on and off campus. Joining Alpha Chi Omega will not only give you a home away from home throughout your time at Tech, but relationships that will last a lifetime.
New Members are given ample support in adjusting to college and sorority life through the six-week New Member program. During this time, new members meet weekly to learn about the history of Alpha Chi Omega, bond as a member class, and get acclimated to Georgia Tech. Each week, new members are paired with older sisters to guide them through the weekly events and are eventually matched with a big sister who will walk them through the initiation ceremonies. The chapter celebrates the newly initiated sisters through awards at our Fall Semi-Formal.
